The CPSGT shows you can:
- Apply foundational knowledge of sleep technology
- Perform entry-level clinical tasks under supervision
- Begin developing skills neeed for advanced practice
What You’ll Need
- Enrollment in or completion of a sleep technology CAAHEP/CoA or STAR sleep education program
- Early clinical experience in polysomnography
- A GED or higher degree
Why It Matters
- Provides a structured starting point in the field
- Supports safe, supervised clinical experience
- Prepares you to earn the RPSGT credential
What to Expect
- Multiple eligibility pathways based on your training or coursework
- Time-limited certificate (valid for 3 years)
- 10 sleep-focused continuing education credits (CECs) required per year
