Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists Selects Association Headquarters as New Management Firm

Mount Laurel, New Jersey — The Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT), a certification board for sleep health professionals, today announced a strategic partnership with Association Headquarters (AH), a leading full-service association management company (AMC) headquartered in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Effective June 15, 2026, AH will serve as the BRPT’s professional management firm, bringing decades of association expertise to support the organization’s mission, certificants, and long-term growth.

Dedicated to setting global standards for – certification and credentialing, the BRPT issues the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) designation, which is the leading internationally recognized credential in sleep technology, in addition to the Certification in Sleep Health (CCSH) and other professional certificates.

The selection of Association Headquarters follows a competitive review process, with the BRPT leadership identifying AH’s breadth of services, demonstrated results, and deep understanding of the importance of credentialing bodies.

The staff team will be led by MaryBeth Kurland, MPA, CAE, ICE-CCP as its Executive Director. Kurland replaces James Magruder following his retirement from the BRPT at the end of June. Kurland joins BRPT with nearly 30 years of association management experience including over 15 years working with credentialing organizations. BRPT’s staff remains in place as employees of Association Headquarters, allowing BRPT to leverage the expertise and deep BRPT-specific knowledge and minimize disruption to day-to-day operations. In addition to current staff, financial services, web, marketing, and technology services will be centralized under AH.

“This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for the BRPT. We evaluated partners who not only understood the mechanics of certification board management, but who genuinely shared our passion for helping our certificants advance the sleep health profession. Association Headquarters brings together operational excellence with a certificant-first approach. We are confident this collaboration will strengthen our mission and deliver meaningful benefits to our certificants and organization as a whole.”
